C9 continues to be without electricity.
At 9AM, C9 students will be transported to CHS for holding in the Gym while the electricity situation continues to be assessed and repaired at C9.
C9 Families - The power situation is being assessed at the C9 campus. If power is not restored by 8AM, C9 students will be transported to the CHS gym for holding. We will continue to update C9 families throughout the morning.
Cleveland ISD is monitoring the weather and roads this morning. As of right now, campuses are open and will remain on a regular schedule. Be careful navigating to school and work this morning.

Gear Up students! Get free college advising now!! College Possible has started and will continue to contact senior students to offer extra assistance on college and financial aid applications.
The district has been made aware of a situation at Santa Fe Middle School involving a teacher having an altercation with two students. All involved parties have been taken in for medical evaluation. At this time, the district is not aware of any serious injuries. No weapon was involved in the altercation. The district will conduct an official investigation and will provide more information when the investigation is completed.

CHS will be hosting its 2nd annual job fair, hair, and senior awards show on April 26, 2024 at 5:30 pm-7 pm!
Entry into this event is free of charge and the job fair is open to licensed professionals in the area. We ask that no large bags or backpacks will be allowed on campus. Small handbags are allowed as concessions will be sold.
This event is the time for students in our program to show you (the community) all of their hard work and talent! Students have put in years and time and want to show the world what they have come up with.
Please join us in welcoming our new as well as our up-and-coming Licensed cosmetologist professionals.
CHS Barbering and Cosmetology department will have program information and answer questions from parents and incoming students. So please come enjoy and see what we have to offer in our school salon, as well as salons and barbershops in our area!

It is not just "an eclipse", this will be "THE ECLIPSE" for Texas. Cleveland ISD has decided to close for Monday, April 8th to allow students and staff time to be home with family & friends to experience this once in a lifetime learning opportunity event to make memories, take pictures, make videos together.
The next eclipse is not until 2044 and it will be nowhere near Texas.
Please remember to follow the recommended safety protocols for properly viewing the solar eclipse. We will see all students and staff back on Tuesday, April 9th.
