What is LPAC?
LPAC is the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee, established based on state and federal guidelines to ensure multilingual students are served appropriately in our schools.
Ensures all Emergent Bilingual (EB) students are identified and served according to legal guidance and best interest of the student.
Coordinates with other school programs to facilitate participation of identified EB students.
Recommends students for participation in Dual Language or English as a Second Language programs.
Annually reviews EB students for state assessment participation, progress monitoring for linguistic growth and recommendation for reclassification as English Proficient.
