Cleveland ISD 2024-2025 HOMECOMING PARADE PARTICIPATION RULES & REGISTRATION DETAILS

1.       All participants must submit a completed application form by Friday, September 20, 2024 at 4:30 pm online at https://www.clevelandisd.org/page/cleveland-isd-homecoming

2.       Each parade participant MUST have a signed permission slip. The participating group sponsor is responsible for collecting and ensuring each participant has a signed form.

3.       All vehicles in the parade must be decorated and in good working order and must comply with the Motor Vehicle Laws of the State of Texas. A copy of the operator’s driver’s license and insurance policy must be submitted to receive your assigned time and lane, no exceptions.  

4.       No STUDENTS will be allowed to drive and there MUST be an adult supervisor for each float. Any float without adult supervision will not be allowed in the parade regardless of license, or insurance.   

5.       Participants must supply their own music and/or sound equipment. Cleveland ISD assumes no responsibility for the music or sound systems. Music must be edited for language and in good taste with no foul or degrading language as this is a family and community event. 

6.       Participants’ attire must be in good taste. Students must adhere to the Cleveland ISD dress code.

7.       Participant’s may give out candy or trinkets safely to the public. Please keep safety as your priority.   

8.       No political campaigning or distribution of political propaganda will be allowed during the parade.   

9.       Participants may not engage in any activity that may represent a safety hazard to the participants or spectators. Participants will be asked to exit the parade line if such activity is witnessed.

10.   Please report to the parking lot at your assigned time and lane. Sanctuary Church at 100 E. Hanson St. Cleveland, TX 77327.

11.   Only floats and participating vehicles should be in the parking lot between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM.

12.   No floats or other parade vehicles may remain on CHS school premises after the parade has ended.   Vehicles may park in the designated parking lot to attend the community pep rally.

13.   Violation of these rules will constitute grounds for removal from the parade and disciplinary action may be taken.
