Annual Enrollment will take place August 1 – August 21. This is the time when employees can make changes to their current elections.
All changes must be done through the online enrollment system. During this period representaves will be made available on campus
to assist you with your enrollment. Speciﬁc dates that representatives will be on campus will be sent out through the District.
All enrollment changes must be completed through the Cleveland Benefits Hub. The effective date for your adds, drops, or
changes will be September 1, 2020. You can access the Benefits Hub by following this link.
BENEFITS EFFECTIVE DATE
Beneﬁts will become eﬀecve September 1st or upon approval of evidence of insurability if required. New employees have
31 days from the date of employment to enroll in beneﬁts. Beneﬁts will then become eﬀecve the ﬁrst of the month following
your date of hire. Failure to complete your elecons during this time period will result in the forfeiture of coverage.
The Plan Year for the Beneﬁts begins September 01, 2020 and ends August 30, 2021
Once enrolled in the Cafeteria Plan, mid‐year changes can only be made based on an approved IRS Qualifying Event.
Employees have 31 days aer a qualifying event to make changes based on that event.
It is the responsibility of the employee to notify your employer of such changes and to complete the proper paperwork.
Any changes to beneﬁts must be consistent with the IRS approved qualifying event.
