Dr. Myers and his wife Pattie have been married for thirty-six years. They have four adult children; two biological: Luke and Kali Jo, and two foster: Keith and Lee. They also have five grandchildren from ages one to seven: Roper, Ryder, Maggie, Jasper and Brantlee.
Dr. Myers received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Sam Houston State University. He obtained his Master's degree in Educational Administration at Stephen F. Austin, and then earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
He has thirty-two years of experience as a public school educator and twenty-one years of experience as a public school superintendent.
