My name is Ms. Barreiro and I am the newest member of the College and Career Center. I will be serving as a college adviser for Cleveland High School. I would like to introduce myself and explain my role here at CHS.
My hometown is Conroe, Texas. I graduated from Conroe High School in 2014, went to Lone Star College, then transferred to Texas A&M University. In December 2018, I graduated with a B.A. in Telecommunication MediaStudies and a minor in English. In the future, I hope to either stay in Education or go into Human Relations.
About Advise TX:
Advise Texas is part of the College Advising Corps and I am an Adviser through the Texas A&M chapter. I am also here through the Gear Up Grant which means I will be helping with college readiness at all grade levels. These programs have allowed us to assist high school students in completing post-secondary education. Our mission is to help guide you with any questions that come up regarding college applications, financial aid, the SAT/ACT along with additional support one may need when it comes to career options.
I can be found in the College and Career Center with Mrs. Hamilton in Room: B121 (near the Counselors’ offices). Looking forward to a great year!
