ARE YOU READY TO DRIVE FOR CLEVELAND ISD
HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED DRIVING A SCHOOL BUS? Cleveland ISD announced that effective with the start of the 2020-2021 school year, all full-time and part-time district school bus drivers would receive a pay increase with a starting salary set at $18.50 per hour. “Our bus drivers play a critical role, transporting more than 6,000 students to and from school each day. They are the first employees to see our students in the morning and the last to see them in the afternoon. Cleveland ISD recognized these employees commitment to education and will be compensating them with one of the highest rates in the area.” Cleveland Director of Transportation, Larry Smith said in a statement.
In addition to a highly competitive salary, drivers are eligible for benefits and retirement. The district is also able to offer paid training for those entering the field. Due to rapid growth of the school district, Cleveland ISD expects to hire twelve additional bus drivers for the 2020-2021 school year.
